Chief Innovation Officer
Dr Aniruddha Roy is a geospatial technology and innovation leader with more than three decades of experience spanning remote sensing, GIS, spatial data infrastructure, advanced mapping, LiDAR, 3D Digital Twins, GeoAI and spatial intelligence. After serving as Chief Technology Officer of Genesys International for over a decade, he now leads the company’s innovation agenda as Chief Innovation Officer, focusing on next-generation geospatial platforms, products and solution offerings, applied R&D, intellectual property and technology-led transformation.
His professional journey spans IIT Bombay, NIIT, ESRI India, Navayuga Engineering and Genesys International, with contributions to several significant national and enterprise geospatial programmes.
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Dr Roy continues to contribute actively to the development of India’s geospatial ecosystem. He is a Principal Member of the Bureau of Indian Standards LITD 22 Committee on Geospatial Information and has been nominated as an expert to ISO/TC 211 working groups, contributing to international geospatial standards and interoperability. He has also served on the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India committee for formulation of a Geospatial Skill Council, contributing to national geospatial skill and capacity development.
Dr Roy has held leadership positions in national industry forums, including FICCI and ASSOCHAM, and continues to engage with government, academia, and industry on geospatial policy, standards, emerging technologies, and capacity building.
An alumnus of IIT Roorkee, he holds a PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering from the IIT-Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad, and is a widely invited speaker on geospatial technologies, Digital Twins, GeoAI, and spatial intelligence at leading national and international forums.
SAMEER SANKHE

Sameer is an inventor, tech entrepreneur, and strategy consultant and has worked for Salesforce.com (Head, Digital Transformation Consulting, India), Tata Projects (Head, Digital Transformation), and BTS.com (in San Francisco and as founding Managing Director in India). His accomplishments include holding a patent in IoT applications and spearheading the digital transformation of infrastructure projects, telematics, smart cities, and sustainability, including implementing IoT-enabled water distribution networks under the Jal Jeevan Mission. Creative and empathetic, he has founded and run a few startups (EdTech, HRTech, MeditationTech) and intrapreneurial ventures. He has consulted Fortune 100 CXOs across the globe on digital transformation.
In his free time, he counsels ailing cancer patients and helps a mental-health foundation and a rural development NGO. He is an outdoor sports and fitness enthusiast and loves learning new sports. He blogs extensively.
